I have purchased Bajaj platina in april 2007. I feel this may be most appropriate time to write a review as I have complete good 1 1/2 year of biking. I have titled this review as ’Beginners Bike’ becoz this by first bike and I thoroughly enjoyed by riding this as I dont have an experience of riding other bikes I may not be doing justice to others bikes in terms of efficiency.
As the cost is affordable any parent who is willing to buy a new bike to their son I would proudly suggest this bike. I dont want to go in to the technicalities of the engine, Horse power etc. but I can assure them that this is most safest bike for the beginners. Coming to the mileage, my bike is giving a good 60+ km/li. after 5 services. Mostly I drive alone and run between 45-55 km/hr and I suggest every one that this the idle speed which everyone should drive regardless of any bike to have a fair bit of mileage.
As one of our friend mentioned in his review that this bike may not suitable for heavy load I agree with him totally but overloading is not good for any vehicle. cheers...
