Bought a second hand bajaj platina 2010 model, alloy wheels, self start in a worst condition. drove it for 6 to 8 months. was okay. I didnt give any food to my bike except petrol. it came to an extreme position. engine problem. I repaired(rebore works. . clutch plates, bearings, etc. everything replaced new). now it is better. it gives around 60km/litre. this is the case of a worst state platina. but mechanic said. . . as it has undergone a major operation, it takes time to set. he asked me to come after running 1000kms. I have drove 200. will review after that.
But this is not the case with a new platina. . .whichever model it is.
It is for those who dont go for looks, dont rash drive and hits sudden brakes on road. It is a not so heavy bike, and best in mileage. as far as I have heard it gives 80kmpl. Some of my friends said we can drive 100km for 100rs petrol.
