Pulsar lost the pulse?

Why Bajaj why? why such desperate measures? The feeling that others-especially Yamaha- are overpowering you is so overwhelming that you are using the Name a little louder now.

I mean I know, we all know The brand name is good. It brought a revolution in country’s two wheeler sector, the brand had its time. You were too close to take on Hero Honda as well. everything which goes up has to return, that I fear is the case of the Legen-wait for it-dary series of Pulsars.

I remember the old days, the days of Chetaks, M80s, CT100s; the advertisement, when Bajaj Chetak was available at down payment of 1 rupee. Bajaj has come long way from there. It sure did a astounding job. Specifically ironed out the mileage problems of CBZ super sprint and launched the Pulsating star which did wonders for them. Riding on that Tidal wave they went on to launch namesake varients of the same technology Discover, XCD, Platina, till that it was good.

There was a time when we could have a pulsar in every 20-30cc segment, it was like when you go to a grocery store to buy food items, ’Ye wala nahi, thoda bada wala dikhana’. The change which 150cc pulsar brought was fantastic. Then they were the first to enter in the 135, 180 segments. Courageous as they had become, went on to challenge Karizma with 220.

There came the lost Heir of the throne. The one which ruled the hearts and roads one time with its Rx and RD series. The Steward should vacate the monarch, the rightous owner had come. unfortunately the Steward didn’t back off. Then the ruler took out its arsenal. Here the steward lay in the pool of its own blood, coughing, already lost his lesser segment.

Why Bajaj Why?

I went there, saw her, Could not find anything original. Was throughly disappointed, Returned.

Headlight taken from Yamaha FZ 16

Bikini shaped Front fairing is XCD

Side Fins XCD

Petrol tank cuts from RTR

Rear grab rails CBZ Extreme

Tailights XCD

Visually nothing to say which would deserve the brand name pulsar

Looks were not enough I guess, but I thought of taking test ride.

No pickup to match the brandname Pulsar

Feels too light and small(that may be after-effect of FZ16 use)

Braking neat. <-For a changeWhy Bajaj why?

P.S.: Saying Worlds first DTSI to have something is like saying worlds first windows to have something, There aint any other manufacturers of DTSI maan, just like only MS makes windows.

P.P.S: So much for the worlds first 4-valve:

Rudge-Whitworth introduced the 4-valve Ulster pushrod operated 500cc single cylinder machine in 1929. Honda introduced the 4-valve XL250 SOHC single cylinder engine in 1972. In 1977 Honda introduced the 3-valve SOHC CB400 twin cylinder models. Yamaha introduced the 5-valve DOHC four cylinder FZ750 in 1984. In 1978 Honda introduced the CX500, a V-twin with pushrod operated 4-valve cylinder heads. In the 1979 to 1992 era, Honda produced a limited number of racing and production motorcycles with 8-valve, V4 engines in 500 and 750cc displacements, the NR series.*Its completely my perspective, no Offense meant to Pulsar lovers
