I booked my first bike (first bike in my family too) Pulsar 135 LS and and got it on 14th May. I always liked pulsar bikes. My office is about 47 km away from my home so return journey is about 95 km. After seeing pulsar 135 ls I thought it would be good to purchase this bike (mainly b’coz of it’s top speed 115 and its mileage 60+).
After driving it for 7 days, in 11 litre petrol I covered 630 km which comes out to be 57km/ltr.. It was fine (as people tell after 2nd - 3rd service bike gives more mileage).. Anyways 57 is also good. I faced (facing) 2 problems with this bike:
1) From day 1, I noticed its battery indicaor is showing low battery.. I informed the same to the bajaj dealer and service centre, but they told me the battery is ok just the indicator is showing low. Really the battery is ok as the light keeps on running but the indicator is not indicating properly.. THIS IS A PROBLEM (not a major one) After 30 days the problem is same not rectified.
2) From day 13, I noticed the bike is running at increasing rpm at neutral. wheni am starting the bike at neutral, suddenly its rpm keeps on increasing till 4000 rpm, which I and many of my friends think is dangerous.. The next day I showed the same to bajaj service and after seeing the problem they told me its auto choke is not working properly and they will replace the same with a new one. But after 12 days they gave me the bike telling now it is running fine and you can check.. I checked the same and the problem was still existing.. now they are looking at the problem.. The bike is still with them, the problem is not rectified. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM (I think so)
Hey people please look for the same while purchasing this bike...
Also if you can wait, then book it after rainy season.
If this 2 problem is solved the bike is otherwise nice I love it.
