I am writing down what I have experienced. Today my bike is 60000+ kms and had a half engine job twice and delivers an average of 40 Kms per ltr.
Look wise this is a good bike with sufficient power to drag you through city roads when the condition is new and upto a few thousand kms. Later as time passes, the bike starts coughing and the auto choke starts hyper ventilating. No doubt this bike has served me for 3 long years for a daily travel of 100+ kms, I was never in great comfort with it as I did with my previous Splendor. There is one little funny thing that I hated about is the gear shift for which my shoes developed a caving and discoloration. Now as I have shifted my residence nearer to my workplace.
I have started to use my car and planned to sell the bike. Believe me, it took me 3 months to find the right buyer at the right price. Finally I sold it at Rs 14000 after a good servicing. This was disappointing as compared to my 5 years old splendor that I sold for 25000 after driving 50000+ kms. Anyway, Hero Honda and Bajaj are totally different in terms of utility. The former being looked for durability and ride quality and the latter for speed and styling which is short-lived. Thanks
