Hey guys I must say I have read many many reviews on bajaj pulsar 135ls and I think there are still a lot of questions regarding this bike in many peoples minds. I’ll make sure I cover up major points regarding this bike.
To start with I must say I own this bike from almost 2 months now, have rode this bike for more than 1500 kms and I must say you will never feel cheated off the advertisements of this bike. its simply superb to handle this bike even at top speeds as it is a light weight bike. Let me begin with the pros and cons of this bike.
1) The engine.
PROS:- It’s a 4-valve dts-i 135cc engine. must say it gives a tough competition to the 150cc bike genre when it comes to top speed and handling. I have been able to reach 98kmph on Mumbai highways without any difficulty. the bike becomes more responsive after the first service at higher speeds. also the start sound is good after the first service. it ROARS
CONS:- at a point when you are giving full acceleration at the speed of 75kmph the bike starts vibrating. its not very severe. mild vibrations which will tickle ur feet and lower half but believe me when you accelerate more above the 80/85 kmph mark you don’t feel any vibrations. it feels very smooth.
2) The looks, design, style and comfort.
PROS:- Its got a stylish design. and when on roads people will surely turn their heads to get a second glimpse of this stylish bike. It has bikini head lights which is different from the other pulsars. It looks stylish in its own way. The break light looks great. The handle is very stylish and the digital speedometer looks great. when you switch on the head light all the buttons mounted on the handle glows with a white light and it looks great in the dark. It looks completely different from other pulsars and the rear of the bike is what I loved in the design. It is higher than most other bikes.
CONS:- The seats are not very comfortable. If you ride this bike for a long time you surely will get a backache and also sore butt. the seats should have been a little more soft. Even tall people sitting behind will have legs pain if they sit continuously for 30/40 min.
The rear mudguard doesn’t guard any mud. I faced this problem during this rains itself. the person sitting behind will surely have a dirty shirt if the road is wet or if its raining. also the rear of the bike becomes dirty.
The speedometer will always show a low battery signal even if the battery is working properly. The petrol indicator keeps fluctuating.
3) Average.
This is surely the best thing I love in this bike. Even with its 135cc 4 valve dtsi engine, 0-60 in 6 secs ratio the bike has given me an average of 55-58 kmpl on mumbai’s all time traffic stricken roads. I am surely very happy with this aspect of my bike.
4) Gear shifting.
The gear shifting is decent. It’s the new type. There’s only one paddle. It might take a few days to get accustomed to it as the gear shifting is 1 down 4 up. once on the move the gear shifting is good but at low speeds and traffic the gear shifting is not very responsive . it gets stuck. u have to force it to go down or up. this is a little disappointing as one needs constant gear shifting on Mumbai roads.
5) Braking.
The brakes are quite decent even at high speeds. The front disks brakes are very good. The only problem is there in the rear brakes as a squeaking sound is made when you press the rear brake at high speeds.
Overall I will say this bike is a beautiful beast. it has superb handling, great top speed, nice firing, good looks with some flaws, but guys no bike is perfect. I would recommend this bike to everyone who really want a powerful bike with good looks and responsiveness within the 60k budget. It is the best in its class. Have a safe riding!
