The Bajaj Pulsar is one of the most influential bikes in India, responsible for the revolution of the Indian Bikers.I own a Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi since November 2014; I have done about 6.5K km since then. I love my bike and see it more advantageous than other bikes in 150 cc segment. The bike is powered with a single cylinder 150cc engine, good for 15.6 PS of power and 13.5 Nm of torque.The bike also gets modern features like illuminated switchgear, analog-digital instrument cluster, tubeless tyres and LED tail lights and has the inbuilt advantages like Twin Spark Ingnition, Dual start mode i.e. electric and kick, Dual Nitrox suspension Exhaust tec system which makes this bike better than most others. When you start the engine it feels like it is raring to go and does pretty well to reach 60 km/hr mark with little effort. Other advantages of this bike is one could start and run at 5th gear, I usually run on this gear and is enough to negotiate all uphill climb in Amarkantak. Driving in this last gear not only ensures feel good factor but also gives a great mileage of 53 kmpl. I have removed the bulky air filter and put K& N Universal Filter RC 1060. Only care we should take is not to put water on filter during washing. Since then its power and pick up has gone up, the only thing you take care is start the engine at idle mode for 2 minutes which makes it heated up and ensures good fuel supply to ignition chamber. Now it runs like a racing bike with minimal vibrations even at 85 km/hr. I ensure I get service done after every 2500 km, which translates to maintenance cost of Rs. 850/year. And If you want to Gain mileage in pulsar and Maintaining Engine Health Perfectly. Kindly, Use the 3 Free Services Frequently.Don’t tune the Pulsar Engines with any other automobile shops.Dont Overspeed Drive , such as avoid drive above 65KM/PH. Only fault I have noticed is sometimes the rear tyre skids, which makes it prone in sandy, muddy and stony roads so maybe if ABS is added it will be a perfect bike. Still proper handling can cover that. I hope the future versions have the following features ( i) Anti Braking System ( ii) Liquid cooled engine ( iii) Anti Theft Device ( iii) Connectivity option and ( iv) Better Traction tyre for rear wheel.
