This review has been written 2 months and 2000 kms after I bought my UG3 Pulsar 180 bike..
Needless to mention, power has been awesome to say the least.. Beats any 150 bike with ease and can give a run for their money to Karizmas.
So far Ive touched a top speed of 125 kmph. The handling has improved a lot compared to the older versions.. U wont feel the engine if its ON.. Absolutely stable even at high speeds.. Even the ride position is comfortable for a long drive..
Mileage is also very good for a 16.5 BHP beast.. I never drove above 50kmph for the first 750 kms ie., before 1st service and never miss a chance to hit top speed nowdays.. I got an amazing 50kmpl before 1st service and 45 odd kmpl in the city with normal BP petrol.. I was advised by the mechanic at the Bajaj service centre not to put premium petrol like Speed or extra premium for the 1st 6 months..
Looks are stunning especially with the wolf eyed headlights and te pointed tail lights. The LCD display makes it even more tech savvy. The improved headlights can make a lorry driver cry with high beam with its amazing beam angle.
The bike is a little longer than its earlier version and this makes aggressive city bikers feel a little uncomfortable initially to cut but will get accustomed to it soon.
I initially didnt have any gearbox noise but once I drove it after I had given it to my friend to drive I started getting noises while shifting gears.. I have no clue when Bajaj is gonna improve upon it..
Braking and suspension is simply superb.. U can easily bring the bike to a halt from 80kmph within 2 secs.. The best part is that you wont get off your seat 1 bit while doing that..
If u r planning to buy a 150cc bike, u might as well go for pulsar 180.. My advice would be not to give your bike to anybody no matter how small the distance is.. Take care your bike like your loved one, it will reciprocate big tym..
(If u still have doubts on which bike to buy in the 150cc+ segment, kindly let me know.. I shall help you out with the knowledge I have.. I had spent nearly 3 months in analyzing which bike to buy before going ahead with pulsar 180)
