Ive been using the Bajaj Pulsar 180 for over a year now, and here’s my honest experience with this legendary street bike.
Performance ( 4.5/5) :
The 178.6cc engine packs a punch. It delivers strong mid-range torque and smooth acceleration. Whether youre zipping through city traffic or cruising on highways, the Pulsar 180 handles it like a champ. It’s not as aggressive as a 200cc+ bike, but its more than enough for spirited riding.
Comfort & Handling ( 4/5) :
The seating posture is upright yet slightly sporty – good for daily commuting and weekend rides. The suspension setup is decent, though it feels a bit stiff on bad roads. The rear gets gas-charged shock absorbers which help on longer rides. At high speeds, stability is impressive, and the bike feels planted.
Mileage ( 3.5/5) :
You can expect around 40-45 km/l, depending on how hard you ride. For a bike of this performance, that’s acceptable. Its not a fuel-saver like a commuter bike, but it balances power and efficiency well.
Build Quality & Looks ( 4.5/5) :
The Pulsar 180 still holds its macho streetfighter appeal. The tank design, split grab rails, and semi-digital console give it a muscular and modern vibe. The build quality is solid, though Bajaj could improve the switchgear and plastic quality a bit.
Value for Money ( 4.5/5) :
Given its price bracket, you get a lot – power, style, road presence, and decent features. Its perfect for those who want a mix of performance and practicality without spending big on a 200cc+ bike.
Verdict:
If youre looking for a reliable, powerful, and stylish bike under ₹; 1.3 lakh ( ex-showroom) , the Pulsar 180 is a great pick. It’s a timeless machine with a loyal fanbase for a reason.
