I was longing to own a pulsar and took a test drive in May. After driving boxer for 5 years, my pulsar drive is truly exciting. Pick up is too good and I feel great to start ahead of other bikes in bangalore traffic signals. The stability and maneuverability too are good and am able to drive through the pot-holed roads with comfort.
Mileage is good and as expected, it gives me around 50 kms/ltr. Believe me, dont blame your bike when it gives bad mileage. Blame the petrol pumps first.
I did (and still) have some issues in gear shifts especially in hitting neutral. I understand that this is the case with pulsars.
I got the bike serviced from Khivraj twice. I scheduled for quick services and got the bike with in 3 hours both times. Only problem is that I have to plan one full saturday since I stay quite far from the service center. Bajaj should plan to extend pro-biking centers to other players as well. This avoids monopoly of one dealer in the city.
