It was in the year 2006 that I bought this machine. It was an all black bike which had been launched just few years back. It was the top bike model of Bajaj at that time though the 150cc and 125cc variants were the more popular siblings. Some of the common features of this bike are as follows:
1. Disk brakes on both tyres.
2. 15 Litres fule tank.
3. Tubeless tyres.
4. No of gears - 5 nos
5. Milage about 40 Kmpl
6. LED tail lamp
8. Kerb weight about 145 kg
9. Wheel size 17 inches
10. Torque 14.22 nm @ 6500 RPM
11. Chasis type double cradle
12. Wolf eyed headlamps with twin pilot lamps
Hats off to Bajaj for creating such a sturdy and stylish machine. Over the years the Company has innovated in this area and has come out with another variant, Bajaj Pulsar 180F of the same model with better features backed by technology. This bike is positioned favorably vis a-vis other competitors like TVS Apache RTR 180, Honda CB Hornet 160R etc. I can easily recommend this bike to anybody who wants to have the same good feeling I had using this very reliable machine over many years with very little maintenance.
