I have been riding my pulsar 200 for the past 1 and a half years and now would like to take the time to give you my views on the beast. I have always been a fan of the pulsar design since the days of the Pulsar 150cc which was the main reason why I got the 200 in the first place.
I use my bike to commute to work, weekend races, occasional long ride tours and twice on a cross road trip. As long as I use it in the city during rush hour there is nothing that I could complain about this bike (even the below average rear brake is not an issue) however taking it for a spin on circuit or road races is another deal. As I have briefly mentioned the rear brake of the pulsar 200 is the main draw back of the bike. First I thought it was only my bike but I found out that other 200 owners had the same problem.
Taking the corners at high speeds during a race has never been a comforting experience on this bike. The handling and control is also an area thats not up to the mark. As I have stated riding the Pulsar 200 is like taming a beast you often dont know how the bike would react. However these cons that I have mentioned shows only in extreme riding (high speeds). I am not entirely dissatisfied with the bike. Its got great looks, good mileage, good body work and yeah its a beast. If your upto a challenge to tame a beast the 200 is your bike.
