This might be a long review but it think I should tell my story in order for you guys to understand, what I have been through. I am 22 years old a college student. the story begins a year and a half ago. I used to drive a scooty. right from the school days I used to drive it. I found it very agile and light. having no gears was great for me.i had no complaints from it. I am 6.3" and so i knew I looked a little bit akward on it. but I didnt really cared for the world. my father told me that I should get a bike for myself but I refused saying its ok. as long as I get to point a to b without any headaches.
I knew that my college mates(not real friends) laughed behind my back because what I used to drive. there are some guys around you who always try to find faults with you and try to pinch that spot where it hurts more. then I decided that was it. I had to do something.
Then I heard about the 220cc pulsar DTS-FI. I loved it very much I mean it is the "first indian sports bike" which I think was great for me. so I went with my good friend at probiking to take a test ride on the dyno. it was a lil akward for me to get used to gears shifting. so that didnt go well. probiking guys told me. jumping from a scooty to a P220, its lil bit ridiculous and scary. they advised me to drive around my friends bike first try to practice more on 150 pulsars. and then book the p220 but I was disappointed deeply I thought I am not worthy of a bike. and pulsars are not my cup of tea.
So I went back to my scooty. I thought I should shift to a good powerful scooter. but then again I was so disappointed with myself. I didn’t feel like buying anything anymore. but my friend who has a p150 told me to not to get disappointed. He told me he will teach me how to ride bikes. so I practiced a lot on splenders first. Then p150. got the hang of what a bike is and how to ride it. but it was too late for me to buy p220. That dream was gone infact crashed lolz. Then I thought myself maybe I should buy a car -i10 . (i am trader stock market lolz ) so I can afford it. but I dont know how to drive a car lolz. so again same prob (gears and stuff).:P I would have to learn it. : (
so a long time passed. and my life went no where. then finally my father sat down and said to me. look you are still young. and you should be riding a bike not a car. after you get older you are gonna roam around in cars only. this line struck me. I should get a bike and become a rider. i got to know that biking isnt about getting from place a to b. its about the experience itself. so I decided to go for a pulsar. but which one to go for was the question. i loved the p220 but I decided to go for P200 instead it is value for money and a lil less powerful also you get the complete pulsar package. also after two years I am thinking of getting kawasaki ninja 250R.m or ninja ZX6R(biker boy lolz) which "bajaj" is gonna bring to india. so why go for p220. anways so I decided on p200. its a big thing for me to go for p200 as my first bike.
so I went back to the the probiking. talked with the same sales dude. he remembered how he had given me good advice about bikes. and we all had a laugh about the last test ride of p220. lolz. so i told him all the things and my practice on p150. so he told me I should go for p200 as its lil less powerful and has complete package. so i test drove it. I found it very easy to drive.and I booked it on the spot .the gears are very easy to shift. lots of technical goodies packed in. all in all awesome experience. when they say its a" beast" poeple are not kidding.
I am not gonna talk technicals and stuff. you can find it on pulsar website. but I wanted to share my story of how my life has been changed. I feel like I am the king on the road. lolz. I can overtake cars like they are roadbloacks lolz. this bike is so awesome everyone stares at it. I mean you cant un notice this thing. lolz. also this is chick magnet . and yeah my so called college friends. yeah there mouths have been sealed for sure. I have a more powerful and a sexy bike than theirs lolz. infact more poweful than most of the Indian bikes. So this bike has changed me a kid on a scooty to a biker boy. pulsar mania has hit me and hit me hard !
