Pulsar 200 - My Dream Babe !

Ya this Pulsar 200 is my dream babe and from a lot of surveying of portfolios of several bikes over 2 months I came to a decision- Yes that was Pulsar 200 ! Well, I had several bikes into considerations namely:-

  1. Yamaha R15:- Sounds good , but it’s too expensive , underlooked(too big chasis, small ht. and tyres) and under powered (engine capacity)bike.

  2. Pulsar 220:- Has got FI but is too loud, low on mileage and does not give a refreshing look !

3.Yamaha FZ-16:- Looks gud when it is parked but still a 150cc affair, looks like a ordinary bike when riding and has got an awful speedometer.

4.Karizma:- The old beast is still old , with no technological advancements and out of fashion system, it was never a choice.

5.TVS Apache 160FI:- As it is said it is still a tvs toy and is not of the standards of true biking. Finally I came across Pulsar 200. It seemed to be a perfect blend of state of the art looks, technological advancements, style , mileage, tubeless tyres, speed, power, comfort and economy ofcourse ! So, I decided that My babe is going to be Pulsar 200.

I rushed to the probike showroom in Noida and got my babe (a black Pulsar 200 !) delivered on my birthday-that’s 30th January ! Till now I have covered 850km in about 50 days with Ist servicing done. And I am satisfied with state of the art features of my babe which I described above.

The detailed performance of my experiences with my babes is as follows:- First of all I wannat to clarify all the readers that Pulsar 200 is safe from all the features and has a upper hand on tha majority of features as compared to the other bikes. Due to the evergrowing market of the Pulsar 200 some people are trying to spray irrelevant rumours about the bike which is absolutely false. So, Listen to your heart only. So carrying on with my experiences with my babe:-

  1. Mileage:- As far as mileage is concerned, being a 200cc thunderdrobe, my babe gived me a whopping mileage of 40-45 kms in city riding and in between 45-50 kms in highway mode, when operated at ideal speed! What else anyone wants after this ?

  2. Power & Pick-Up:- Consedering my self as a disciplined rider, I never allowed my bike to reach above 4000 rpm, before my first servicing. And I find the power and pick up of my babe is just exhilarating. The power and pick up the bike is displyed, when my babe is the front runner of the traffic lights !

  3. Comfort:- With split seat styling and a advanced handle bar position with sporty footpegs one has to adjust for the first time, but after that The bike keeps your status comfort level checked itself not you ! 4. Handling:- As already mentioned, newly designed handling position is very sporty and dynamic. the bike is stable at even very high speeds and is very easy to handle.

The broad rear tyre gives stability to the bike. And the vibrations are almost negligible ! 5. Technical Goodies:- Pulsar 200 is full of technical goodies, which does not require special mentioning now ! The technical department of the bike is very solid. I t behaves very sound and is a treat to watch ! 6. Servicing:- Bajaj servicing is very good as they have special workshops for pro bikes. The staff is very talented and servicing is very satisfying if done under inspection. Still some advancements are always there to be wished such as:- 1. Clip on handle bars. 2. Some head modification.

Nothing else guys ! As said power comes with great attitude ! Keep your bike as your girl friend and it will never ditch you. I suppose this review will satisfy you all. I will keep updating my review as per my experiences with my babe ! And last but not the least.Pls do write your reviews after reading my review so that I can improve my self. So I bid Good Bye to you all and wish a Happy and a Safe Riding for you all !
