I bought this bike on Feb 20-2008 and till now my ride is around 10500 kms. I am a bike freak and had read 100 review to zero down on this bike. I have this blue color which looks cool n hot in nights. I have travelled on this bike to pune and nasik twice and these rides very good.
This bike has a wonderful grip because of 120/80 rear. The weight ratio has been balanced so effectively that u could bend this bike upto 45 degrees.
The bike has a lot in its engine. Even in 5 th gear u would sensibly miss the 6th. "kash 6th bhi hota". It has a lot of power and I have dragged it to 119 km/hr on pune highway (NH 8). The position is sporty and u get that confidence to bend to extent. I have tried a lot and fell a lot. So please don’t try that without safety gear.
The front section is quite tech. You have all the indicators to make u realize what is happening in your bike like
-engine heated
-oil
-battery
And what all..... Side stand etc........
U can well tak this bike for a ride to long Kms and eenjoy it.... I really did....
All compain about the rear brake....
The MANNUAL too says apply the front brakes more for effective braking. So do depend on rear but slightly... This bike has awesome braking and you will stand still with all your bones together... Thats my word..
The tank is well shapes and the flyers add the looks of this bike... Though I don like the mask or you could say headlight as all the pulsars look the same except 220. I would say the new FZ 160 headlight would make this pulsar more RAW and BEAST.....
The seating is ok not good for the rear as he will feel the jerks some times. Its a problem because the rear has a less cushin and everything is dependable on shockers.....
Overall the bike is good.
Other things are
35 watt 12V bulb. Is a lousy one the illumination is ok but not so good….
