I just bought a Pulsar 200 - and here are my thoughts that I’d like to share
1 - First things first - P200 is an AWESOME bike at this price point in India(and worldover). Agreed its no NANO but it sure is the nicest package$2000 can buy. I’ve been to a lot of places - and drove many a bikes. I’m a bike fan - so trust me on this one - you don’t get this kind of slick package at this price point ANYWHERE. So - for that - I give a two-thumbs-up aplause to Bajaj. Rajiv - you’re my man
2 - The Probiking showroom is a good concept. I went to a rather thakela, if I may say so, showroom of Hero Honda to check on Karizma. To my surprise, not only was I made to wait - I was actually treated quite unwanted. Not good for hero honda - they have to pull up their socks if they need to compete with Bajaj on pre-sales.
3 - The bike itself is a good package. The engine roars nicely - nothing bad here. I questioned the bajaj service guys about the failed shock absorbers and stuff - they said it was a faulty design - and they’ve replaced that stuff with new one. So I guess the jury is still out there on that one.
All in all - I’d recommend this bike over Karizma(which is very bulky) and TVS RTR(which lacks on design front)
