Would it be a let down?

The new avatar, aahhaaan. the upgrade, naaa, the modification, nope, so wats with the new Pulsar 220 Dts-i, is that they have removed the’f’ in simple terms, but wat does it really mean, The biggest bajaj bike, Pulsar 220 has been launchd in the New variant, New Pulsar 220 Dts-i, the Fuel injection is not the technology with P-220, The positive is certainly its Price- 70, 000

But what it sounds to me is that Bajaj has fear of their Pulsar family being challenged by newbies Apache 180, Yamaha’s Trio.

Whats New:

Power has been tweaked up to 21 Bhp.

As expected, all black theme.

Stickered monogram instead of 3d @ tail.

Fi Unit has been replaced by the Carburetor

Few other technical and Mechanical modifications has been done.

a slight up in the average.

Pick up is more

New Mrf Tyres promise more stability on turns

Whats Same:

Though, on the first look, one would say that their aren’t many changes and one would consider that the owner has painted the alloys black.

No changes in the shape, size or looks

So, after reading that whats Pulsar has new and whats not, and how did Pulsar managed to cut almost 12 K from the Dts Fi Model to take it down to 70 K is Questionable.Only removing Fi wont cut down it by 12 - 13 K, either its with the quality, or something.

But with this Downgrade, bajaj has shown that Yamaha Trio is giving them a real hard fight, and now as Apache 180 Fi is in too, the competition just got tougher, and Bajaj has put forward its eldest to remain in the competition, but wouldn’t it affect the Younger Pulsar’s market, so what about 200, 180, leave aside the 150 as it is a different class, but 180 and more over 200 would have a Real Hard time, new P 180 is 64K, P-200(Not Upgraded yet) is 74K, and new 220 is 70 K, r u kidding me, its like, 1 Kg of sugar is 10 Rs/k, and 1/2 kg of it is 15 Rs/k. Bajaj has dug the’hole’ for its Own younger Pulsars, and after its 220 update(Not an upgrade definitely) where would the P 200 Upgrade or Update go. would it be with dts-si( Bajaj X cd) Engine, or with Pulsar 150 Seat, and tires, or will they remove The Oil cooled technology.

Its all messy for Pulsars @ this time, it should have been a P 200 upgrade rather than 220, or both should have been @ the same time as it was with their siblings.

Bajaj has definitely lowered the Prizes and the only one to get affected with this would be, (Not Yamaha’s Trio, not Apache 180) Karizma, as now the Prize has been reduced with cool looks, broader tyres than zma, and the split seat and Double Disc. So its a wake call for zma not for Yamaha and Apache.

And what I really don’t like about Bajaj’s step is that their was nothing new that they could have done with P 220, and the questions which arises are, what if they want to have anther Fi variant in near future, than they again have to take the prices up, I really dont know that would P 220 b only available in new Dtsi variant or Dts fi as well, if later is the case, than fine, but if they have just Dtsi 220 to go with, than a Big problem for its younger ones!

So now the Plus for the new P 220 is the Price, only 70 K

and the Negative for it is also the Price, which is 70 K
