I own a pulsar 220(2010) which has done 17000 kms till date.i wish to call my bike Beast bcoz of its shattering performance. I have fitted K& N air filter last month and now its acceleration is simply mind blowing. It’s like the bike wants me to push it harder and harder. just a twist of the right hand & there it goes like a rocket. I have clocked a top speed of 135 kmph before fitting K&N filter.
Now I hope my beast will go further. My beast is giving me mileage of 40 kmpl. well its a good figure considering company saying 45kmpl. My beast rides & handles well & is extremely stable at high speeds above 120 kmph. It’s comfortable for long journeys also(not for pillion). well talking about cons, maintenance costs are on the higher side, every month it will have some issue. then the ground clearance is too low which makes cornering difficult & humps are a big headache.
I would recommend pulsar 220 to those who value performance over everything else & those who consider fuel efficiency please stay away from this.
