Its been a year and 4 months since I have owned this Bike. Frankly speaking, my relation with it has been just like a One sided Love affair which later became 2 sided and now it has matured to a Marriage!
Believe me Friends, or go through my review of the same bike dated July 2007. I was terribly disappointed with what Bajaj Gave me for almost a Lakh of Rupees. The bike had initial issues of Starter Problems, speedo error, poor handling and was kind of a Thorough disappointment for me. But nothing could be done. In my city, the Service is done by Wasan Bajaj and they repeatedly consoled me that all these nags would be taken care of, as, Bajaj was coming up with modifications of the parts that were causing errors. I was furious &that frustration was clearly visible in my earlier review.
After a few months of ownership, I started liking the bike, mainly because it was rid of the initial problems of starter etc as the Promised modifications came on time. I still was not too much Happy. My opinion of this bike changed drastically after I started realising that It was a reliable machine. Not a single rupee has been spent on any spares except oil change on the bike. Not a single day has it stalled or failed me mid way. There has not been a single instance where I have been humbled by any other bike on the Roads. I have owned a Hero honda Sleek, a Yamaha RX-100, A Suzuki Shogun, A Enfield Bullet, a pulsar 150 and this One, but, none has given me such One sided Satisfaction as the P220 has with nothing left to Complain.
I now have Given it the much needed Full body fairings, a modified Air Filter and Iridium sparks. It is now better than ever.
I do not want to compare it with R 15’s or 16’s as I have ridden both of them and they are far better in terms of Handling, but, when you talk of Raw Power and reliability...P220 Rocks!
