Bajaj launched the Pulsar AS200 as an upgarde to what the NS200 has been missing. Yes NS fans would still like to have the NS but this is a more refined bike with a smoother engine and at almost the same price. Compared to what other rivals offer at this price. Its a bang for the buck. Excellent for commuting and touring as well. Mileage is a decent 42kmpl in mixed riding and 48-50 kmpl on highway. Seat height is a little high but not a deal breaker. Fit and finish is good as well but we cannot compare with the Jap models considering its Indian and we need to remember the price point as well.
You can get a top speed of 145 easily and still the bike wont gasp for breath.
Now at last why Pulsar 220 is better according to some is because the AS 200 has a linear pickup compared to 220 so it looks like the bike is underpowered but you need to ride both the bikes at top gear and high rpm to understand the difference.
Conclusion, if you want an upgraded latest tech embedded bike with a not so high price, AS200 is here for you
