On April, it will be exactly two years, when I got my Pulsar 150 DTSI. It has been mostly used in Dlehi/NCR roads and presently it has clocked a mileage of 22500 Kms. I believe the bike has been used quite extensively for me.
First the cons:
When it completed its first year of existence with me its rear shockers were giving problem. The service people told me that it was due to some settings problems and they had rectified it. Initially I thought since I am myslef overweight a little hence the impact, but nevertheless it has been rectified.
One problem that I have faced from the begining is with the very hard clutch. As in Delhi’s roads you have to use the clutch regularly, my wrists start to pain simetimes. I have used other Pulsars to and they have smooth clutches, I don’t know maybe this is a problem with my specific bike onyl.
The Pros:
Well, rest everything in this bike is a pro. Though I have only once or twice rode it over a 100 kms, the performance is really good. As I get it serviced farily regualrly almost every 2500 kms I guess hence the problems are less. As per the service centre I had the timing chain washed twice and upon reaching 20, 000 kms my cluctch plates were changed, that were only time when I had to put a strain on my pocket for its servicing.
It must be mentioned, as mentioned by most of you, that the pick up even after doing 2 years and 22500 Kms is as fast as it was when I bought it. Even parts like the battery, lights, horn, tyres they have performed beautifully, maybe a result of the regular service.
It is doing more than 50km/l and it has been constantly used for 35 kms a day, hence I think its a good all purpose city bike, though can’t comment hoe it functions on longer runs in highways as hev’nt experimented with it on ahighway as yet.
