Bajaj Pulsar DTSi **** THE ROARING LION ****

I was extremely passionate about bikes since I was 8. I have driven Pulsar 150 Dtsi for the past 5 years and it was a great experience. Trust me, pulsar is meant for nuts and lunatics

and runs clothing off (bike) with extra pickup edging above all 150 cc bikes. Riders astounds the people watching them pass by with the lion roaring sound coming from a bike and make them give a second look turning around, although it is very difficult even to get a glimpse of the rider at that speed. Resulting riders making fool of themselves by risking their lives performing abdicable stunts. Which sometimes tinkles the danger line and things are out of control, making them getting prone to accidents. Pulsar can be maintained for longer than 5 years (excluding clutch plate cost because it’s of very poor quality which has to be changed regularly) if driven within speed limits, in simple words no harsh driving.

Pulsar Pickup

Pulsar pickup is something to talk about; a mild twist to the throttle and this bike is ready to take off.

If you are standing in a row with other 150 cc bikes to begin racing, there you notice the difference in pickup compare to other bikes. Pulsar runs naked with astonishing pickup leaving contenders way behind blowing smoke on their face, teasing them. Readers don’t get excited and try doing something nasty after reading this because a coin has two sides and one should also beware of the consequences.

Quality

Components quality is the area where Bajaj did not paid attention and used cheap quality parts just to marginally bring down the price compare to others. Arrey…..guyz quality is the first thing to emphasize on, which not only increases the life of a machine but also attracts customers. People won’t mind spending extra 10000 and get rid of the tension spending those 10, 000 in installments for maintenance after the bike gets older. If Bajaj would have used quality parts like Honda they would’ve been way ahead of Honda today.

Comfort for the Rider & Pillion

Pulsar engine is not one of the smoothest one. Engine condition worsens if not maintained and driven harshly. Initially bike runs smoothly, making it run more than 100 kms a day tires up the engine and give a little bit of vibration rider can feel and also start sounding differently. This bike is comfortable for the people of average height; tall people tend to bend a little more which sometimes leads to backache. Comfort level for pillion is good. Weight of a pillion doesn’t bother much.

Gearbox

Shifting gears in pulsar is not that smooth compare to that of a Honda bikes. Most of the time it gives false neutrals. One may have noticed huge sound while shifting gears in pulsar, which is common in all Bajaj bikes.

Performance

By performance I mean everything related to the engine. Mileage is the 1st and most important criteria for me and I guess many people riding bikes. Initially the bike used to give a mileage of 40-45 during the 1st 6 months and later it used to give about 50-55 after completing 3 services and 2000 kmph, Mileage also depends on ones riding techniques

.

Conclusion

I hope this review will help you take decision to select better bike, most importantly which suits your need.
