Hi Guys
I own a pulsar 180 DTSI - mag wheels since June - 2005. I want to highlight the NEGATIVES of the bike. Correct me if I am wrong
CONS OF PULSAR :
Gas shockers (Nitrox) : They make a large CLANG sound on uneven roads\potholes. Everytime during service I get it fixed but it lasts only for the next 2 days
Misplaced CG : The center of gravity is a bit in front rather than in the center. This can make u skid easily when taking sharp turn. If you pull the front discs while emergency braking u will understand it better.
Uncomfortable riding position : Try riding the bike with a pillon for 30Km and your palms and back will prove the point. Definitely not suitable for long rides.
Low ground clearance : Speedbreakers may scratch the bike from below.
Side stand indicator : Everytime during service I get it fixed but it lasts only for the next 2 days
Reduced power by time : Month after month I get a feeling that the bike is not that crispy & fast as it was earlier.
Beaten by dtsi-old & karizma : Truth is that dtsi-old can beat karizma but the new one cannot. Reason : They have increased the low end torque so for 0-60 new dtsi will beat dtsi-old and karizma by small margin but after that it loses badly. Top speed is in the range of 115 and takes ages to reach
Gear system : They are hard, drive a honda n feel the difference. Then there are problems of false neutrals. The bike drops down one gear or goes into neutral without any warning and this can definitely make you lose the drag, not to mention the danger to your self if any other speeding vehicle is close on your tail.
Not so good electricals and after sales service
Expect the unexpected : pulsar normal -> pulsar dtsi -> pulsar dtsi mag -> pulsar dtsi mag black -> pulsar dtfi 250 ........ how does it feel when your version becomes outdated ? There is absolutely no visual difference between the 180 V2 and the 150 V2 except the badges.
There are much more which I will be adding.
