Simply Awesome..............

I am Jyotirmoy from Bhubaneswar. After too many calculations, I finally purchased the Black Beast- Pulsar 150cc Dts-i on 23rd November, though I was confused between  HH-CBZ Xtreme & TVS Apache RTR 160.

The reason being I went for this finally was its popular presence since last 13 years and the easy availability of tiny to tiny spare parts in the market.

I paid a total of Rs.67, 410 ( On Road) to make this bike totaly mine.

Lemme now describe about this male.

  • The all new 2009 edition of Pulsar 150cc has the best look in its category.( I think so ). The wolf eyes are relly sexy.

  • The weight is 143 kg and so the control on the bike is very good, no matter what is the weight of the driver.

  • Thickness of the rear tyre is another plus point as chances of skidding is very less even during rainy season.

  • Till date I have reache the top speed of 80 ph but no such vibration problem is there which is a general issue in case of TVS Apache.

  • The new edition has also a change in its engine sound which is better than the older model.

  • Frndz, plz notice- don’t use self start button early in the morning or whenever U r starting it for the first  time during the day  or else U might has to change ball bearing of the self starter which will cost U few 100  bucks..Better use the kick start.

  • Sometimes, U might experience a ’tak tak’ sound during gear shifting but this only happens if the chain spoket is loosen due to the rough driving.

  • Till my first servicing, I didn’t find a single problem though I drove 710 kms vitin first 12 days and on the 13th day I did my servicing.

  • Before the 1st servicing, the milage was 40 km/hr and now its showing around 45 km/hr in the city......Company fellows tells the milage would be around 55 km/hr and it will gradually increase as soon as all the free servicing would be over.

( Plz keep ur speed in between 60 per hr before the second servicing for better milage )

I hv only one problem......not actually a problem but a confusion......any expert in Pulsar plz hepl me out on this....

In the RPM space of the speedo metre, one red indicator is there......whenever the oil indicator reduces to 2 sticks ( plz note, if u will fully fill ur oil tank then 12 sticks will be shown in the oil indicator place ), that red indicator is blinking.......In the manual , its mentioned that the same blinking light is the  oil reserve indicator...........but though the red light blinks in my bike, i use to drive another 100 km approx. keeping my oil button in ’ON’ position. So I  am cofused why is that happening.

Any expert, plz tell me regarding that.

This is all about my little experience during my 1100 km run......................I will share my views after getting more experience.

Thank U.
