PULSAR 150(non DTSI)

Hi!, i’ve been using pulsar 150(non DTSI) for around 2.5 years and putup around 20k kms on the bike, i used to ride HH Splendour before this one, was not satisfied with the pick of that bike so turned to pulsar.. the BIKE will seem all stable for small rides of around 30kms to 40kms in a day, after using bike this long, thought of putting up this review.. i’ve used all the below mention bikes for around 150kms as a test ride from my friends who owned them CBZ, UNICORN, PULSAR 150 DTSI, FIERO, APACHE...ETC and found that pulsar has the greatest looks of them all but not the performance. my bike gives me around 35 to 45kms/ltr..in traffic conditions and at an aversge speed of 50km/hr and around 50+kms on long rides.. so PULSAR 150 is not fuel efficient as you ca see!! if you wanna rip off your bike like crazy and go in the traffic, then this is the bike for you.. it has several problems..like the disc brakes which are cheaper in performance then Drum brakes of a T V S moped..and you feel the pain your B when you go on long rides.. some of these problems have been rectified in the currently rolling out PULSAR 150’s..the rear suspension is good, but not the front ones...   you’ll come to know on long rides that the bike gets tired and makes weird high frequency noises...and the pickup will dissapear after a long drive of around 150kms..   I would surely not recommend this to anyone who is thinking of buying the old PULSAR, but if you’ve got big bucks in your pockets then I would recommend the new 06 model PULSAR’s..   this older model PULSAR(NON DTSI) I seriously low on torque and will need frequent gear changes as an effect... and followed by the increased fuel consumption..   all the problems have been rectified in the new one’s.. UNICORN or TVS APACHE would be a better choice than PULSAR as they are economical on your POCKETS... they also have far more torque than any of the new PULSAR’s...
