Hi there....bajaj is out with yet another invention of a modification called pulsar dts-i from simply pulsar. Though not much of a difference wit the old one but I say not a bad idea....pulsars round headlamp really looked odd wit its muscular styling. Power as they say is increased though I didnt find much of a difference. Still the bike runs much more smoother n pick up is a bit more complementive.
Regardin power, I felt it on my first test ride. Lots of pick up, n much smoother in its fifth gear. Milleage is managable with 50-60 kmpl in my town. The new impresive front look is one of its attraction. I have a bajajs bike(caliber croma) and its coming out with the same problem of chain sound...im afraid pulsar would give the same. This is something baja has never worked with. Pulsar Dts-i has increased a bhp with power in both 150cc n 180cc. Though ive never driven 180 cc, I guess its comparable with Karizma.
All in all, I appreciate bajajs new creation. But, I would recommend bajaj to introduce pulsar Dts-i 220cc or 250cc watsoever. Theres one more thing to be discussed about 150cc. It costs Rs. 58000 where 180cc costs 62000. If ur buying 150cc think again for spending another 5000 for 180cc. Theres no big difference in fuel efficiency. Even 180cc works fine in cities. Concluding with, u can go with Bajaj Pulsar Dts-i coz its affordable(compared to karizma) and handy with power n fuel.
