This Is It!!!

Heya Friends,

I bought my black Pulsar 150 DTSi in the month of December. But still I have waited this amount of time to give you a more informative feedback by experience that I have had with this bike in the last 3 months.

Obviously the experience has always been wonderful. I am not going ga ga over this bike, just one or two things need a little upgrade. I guess I’ll start with them.... not many though. The only thing I found wanting is a broad seat, the rear tyre and the headlamp.

I’ll start with the seat, not that bad, but comes nowhere close to the comfort of the CBZ and the Eliminator.... its too narrow. After a long ride, you’ll feel the stress in your back and butt.

The rear tyre, well I don?t say that it doesn?t grip at all. But on curves I have experienced a bit of skidding while leaning. It doesn?t get alongwith the hunky looks of the bike as well.

The headlamp assembly costs around Rs.900/-. That means if you crash and even get a portion of the lens broken, you will have to replace the entire assembly (this doesn?t include the fairing). I had a crash and broke only the lens, which doesn’t seems more than a 50 buck unit. But had to dish out 900 Rs as the lens is not available. Half the amount was paid by my insurance company. But anyway it?s not cheap. I have the old assembly with me and would get it rectified once it is available in the grey market. God forbid the time doesn?t come for me to get it replaced?.. Same was the story with the headlamps of CBZ, Passion, Fiero etc. But now you get it around Rs.40-50 + Rs 30 as assembling charges. Hope this too arrives.

So friends apart from the above, the bike won’t let you down on any front. Being a 150 doesn?t expect this bike to rip like the 180 on the pickup, but still is the quickest in the 150cc class. The transmission is smooth, so are the gear shiftings, unlike in the old Pulsar.

The front brakes are excellent, they have saved me quite a number of times. I don’t know why people say that the front brakes are dangerous. Use them with the right technique and they will never trait you. Handling and balance is first class, the bike feels rock steady even at 100+. If looks could kill, this is the bike that fits these words. The best part is the mileage, I get figures around 58-61 kpl. Now isn?t that surprising. A bike offering 13.02 ps of power with this kind of fuel efficiency. Hey but hold your horses, don’t expect it to give you this mileage at ripping speeds. I very rarely go above 60, as I don’t need to. So it all depends on your riding habits. Treat this bike as your child and reap the rewards.

I have mentioned two visits to the dealer, those are my free service checkups, no problems yet.

So friends here is the bike that you all have been waiting for. A perfect blend of style, power and fuel efficiency that none can match. Obviously the results are out to see by the sales figures and the level of respect and competition Bajaj has gained by it?s launch. So if you are planning to go for a bike, then this is it. No looking back... the nearest competition is miles behind. JUST GO FOR IT!!!

P.S. And guys once you get yours, don?t forget to log on to https://bajajpulsar.org, a site totally dedicated to this wonderful bike. Have fun, make friends, join us on trips and learn a lot more about this bike. See you then.
