I am not a Byke freak or Grand Prix fan..so I guess I dont have the rights to talk about Speed n Power....but still I wanted a decent looking, sturdy, manly byke to suit my personality-n-attitude and gives gud mileage. I had a couple of them in my mind.
Yamaha - Powerful but not big enuf! - looks very slender.
Bullet - Very good looks and Powerful as well...but fails when it comes to Maintenance and Mileage.[Imagine pushing your Byke for 3 Km when its got a flat tyre....uffffff....]
Splendour n TVS Fiero(inc F2) - Not very good looking, not as powerful but with gud mileage.
Yamaha Enticer - Very good looks, ave mileage but lacks a powerful engine.[Its 125cc engine fails to deliver to your expectations.]
Then came the byke of the year - 2003 - Bajaj Pulsar. The moment I saw the byke I felt this is the byke I was waiting for all these days. But still the shape of the Tank and the seating position made me to think again.Heard a lot of rumours about the same as well...!!!!
But, then I felt Pulsar had it all I wanted. Its big, masculine, powerful and a decent mileage made me to go for it. Its been more than a year now, I have been the proud owner of my Pulsar 150cc....with no much of hassles...I think its the best buy for those who are looking for those factors to be all in one byke just like me.... so far so good....my byke has been my ever-reliable companion and hasnt been a problem at all....
One thing has to be definitely mentioned is that the persistent Gear changing problems worries me a bit but thats the compromise I may have to make for all those pleasurable rides I have had on my byke covering such long distances with ease......I am getting a decent mileage still now....and this again depends on the way you ride...so thats not a point of concern at all...
As a whole, I can say I just love those power filled rides I had ....the sheer power this byke generates makes me feel so good......and the power comes to you with solid disk breaks...definitely this combination makes this byke to be loved by the most...even by those who never want to use breaks....and let their adrenaline rush to reach its peak...
Last but not the list.....the price of this byke .....if I can compare few of the bikes which satisfy the above criteria...I can list :[these are just an app figures]
Yamaha : ~50k
TVS Fiero (old n F2) : 45 - 50k
CBZ : >55k Karizma : >55k
Bullet : >65k Enticer : >50k
With all this in my mind, I thought buying Pulsar for just above 50k wud be the best deal....and still feel the same... Those who are ready to burn the rubber.....go for Pulsar...if you think u still can afford more...as they say..more the money....more the options u get to choose from...
Happy Riding......
