Awesome pulsar bike

Slowly spreading its cards this year, the Ace of Bajaj Autos is still not on the table. With the expectations like Pulsar 400SS or Pulsar SS400, the Ace( 400SS) would be the commander of the Pulsar series. It would be a benchmark for the other motorcycle manufacturer’s as the competition for more performance oriented bikes will definitely rise this year. It is expected to be launched in India within next 3-6 months.

Design & Style

The 400SS is said to share its design with the recently launched RS200. Sharing each and every curve, the bigger Pulsar would be a replica of the smaller one, with more power under the faired body. Twin projectors at the front and LED tail lights will all be the same for both the bikes.

Instrument Console

Bajaj will be sharing its most advanced instrument console on all its 200 and above cc bikes in the future. From the 200NS to the RS200, and now to the SS400 and maybe the same for the CS400 also, Bajaj has a semi digital, good looking console which evenly fits all. With a tachometer in the center and the digital speedometer at right, it looks pretty much perfect to the Pulsar family.

Engine & Performance

It comes with a 373.2 cc engine, which is expected to produce 43 BHP @ 9000 rpm and 35 NM @ 7000 rpm. The engine will be a single cylinder unit with triple spark technology. It would be a liquid cooled unit using fuel injection as standard if it arrives in more than 1 variant. Pulsars are known for their raw performance stats and this beast would be again proving the quote to be universally true. A 6-speed manual transmission will be used with an expected slipper clutch being standard on it.

Expected Accele_45ration & Performance

Bajaj Pulsar SS400 can reach a top speed of above 150 kmph and will take about 7-8 seconds to reach 0-100 kmph accele_45ration along with anexpected mileage of 25 kmpl.

Suspension & Brakes

The front of the new Pulsar would have Telescopic Upside down forks and the rear would get a monoshock with few steps adjustment. The front disc brake is expected to be a 300 mm, equipped with ABS and the rear being a 230 mm, also with ABS. The dual channel ABS provision is expected to be Optional for the Pulsar 400 SS. Metzeler tyres would be used, which would be larger compared to the RS200.

Expected Variants, Shades & Ex-showroom Price

Bajaj Pulsar SS400 will be available in two variants which includes the Pulsar SS400 and the Pulsar SS400 ABS. The Pulsar SS400 will be available in four exciting shades of Red, Yellow, Blue and Black. The expected ex-showroom, Delhi price of Pulsar SS400 is INR 1.75 lakhs and INR 1.90 lakhs for the Pulsar SS400 ABS, which may vary.
