I own a 1997 bajaj Classic. It was under good running till 2008 after which it was neglected till 2012.we gave it a new life by repainting the scooter and repairing the necessary mechanics. However due to some issues it was not ridden around till 2015 when I got it running again. Its a scooter which inspite of facing neglection works like a charm.People of my age zip around in CVT scooter and bikes but still I like my bajaj as I had spent my childhood days on the scooter too.My dad told me that when it was new it gave a mileage of 58kmpl.Now also it gives a healthy 40-45kmpl
this is a scooter which hardly requires any maintaining and is cheap to run.Todays CVT scooters are not tuned enough that I will ride them.Even now I feel that my bajaj is more reliable than the tvs wego I own.Its sturdy suspension, simple mechanics and capacity to work has made it a 1990s motoring icon.Truly I believe the tagline of its advertisement "Hamara Bajaj"
Bajaj was a legend and it will surely remain one.
