I bought a Bajaj air cooler model TC-2007 on 21st April, 2012. From the beginning , we felt it was nothing more than a fan, the "cooling" was only in paper. Last week the cooler suddenly stopped working and I raised a complaint with Bajaj customer care on 5th May, 2013.
The complain number is 2591350. They are so busy that they could attend to my call only today(7th May 2013) and to my surprise, the technician came and simply told that the motor is broken( not burnt nor short circuit)! And the funny thing is, they do not repair any part, we need to buy a new motor as it seems and that too without any warranty as to how long that one will work.
I understand my product is out of 1 year warranty (may be just a week or two) and there could be some spare parts problem. But the primary component of a cooler, that is its motor got broken in a years time that too without a short circuit or like that is simply not acceptable. what does Bajaj think? A cooler is like a ball point pen, we use it for a year and then throw??
More over the technician who came to visit was one of the rudest service person I faced, he behaved as if he is doing some charity work by visiting our house and that he has 30 other cases to attend"!
Dear Bajaj, is this what is expected out of a consumer goods giant like you?
