i bought a bajaj wave from KLN Automobiles chennai in Sep 2005 as a gift to my sister....
Let me tell you, this was the beginning of a worst nightmare that has still not ended. Till 2nd march 2006, the vehicle has spent almost 60 % of its time in the service center, rather than in my house.
The third day after I bought this vehicle, the kickstart overshooted and it had to be sent to the dealer for rectification.
Dont ever ride the vehicle in heavy peak hour traffic. Who wud like to get stranded in the middle of the road, with the vehicle not willing to move ....
The vehicle stops in the middle of the road, and no amount of your effort starting either with the kicker or the electronic start would help the vehicle start. Wave would decide as to when it should start. try starting the vehicle after half an hour , the vehicle would start as if no problem.
My sister, got stranded several times like this in the middle of the road, with her 2 yr old kid.
Repeated representations to the service center would not yield any results. The service center would keep the vehicle for 3 days, clean it and waterwash it and give it to you saying that the vehicle’s problem has been rectified without even attempting to look at what the problem was.
9 times to the service center for the SAME PROBLEM in a span of 5 months , the dealer is still not able to identify and solve the problem.
My father an elderly person in his early 60’s hates to ride this vehicle, as he too is a victim of the same problem.
The vehicle after running smoothly, would suddenly start giving jerks and wud stop in the middle of the road.
Even the dare devil would not like to take it out in the nights as u wud never know when and where the vehicle wud stop.
Not only this. My relation with my Brother - in - law has become soar after I gave my sister Wave as a gift. Who would like to see his wife stranded in the road.
So, sincerely requst you people not to buy this vehicle
