Bajaj wave and Popular Bajaj - Biggest mistake

Hi all,


Please read through our wonderful experience about BAJAJ WAVE AND POPULAR BAJAJ SERVICE CENTER! Our lesson is people shouldnt waste their hard earned money and even more precious time on any of them!


We bought a New Bajaj Wave in august 2006 with lots of hopes that this product would be a good competitor to its Peer Honda Activa. but even from before our first service we started facing hell a lot of issues and problems in our vehicle. to add on to it the service center we chose is truly the worst in terms of customer service and their response. When we gave it for our first service we informed the service guy that the fuel consumption is way tooooooo high(less than 30Kms/litre). the indicators were not working and weird metal rumbling sound. the POPULAR bajaj people in bannergatta road made a note of the same and promised to look into the issues and solve them. on the day when we went to collect our bike they informed us that the problems have been solved and the fuel consumption has been tuned. we took the vehicle unaware that we had to give our JUST 1 MONTH OLD VEHICLE for repair within 10 days and regularly thereafter because it had also developed new major problems after their service. The vehicle would stop abruptly in the middle of the road for no reason frequently no wonder you might be hit and run by the speeding vehicles. If you apply sudden break or if you accelerate suddenly the vehicle will stop there only. We have given the bike for service again and again many times with each time the duration of service the POPULAR bajaj people would take not less than 3 days provided everyday u go to their service center and sit on their head even though you will have tight office scedules. The battery of the new vehicle had to be replaced and charged and the bike doesnt start only at the POPULAR bajaj service center itself. **The fuel consumption was still 30 kms/litre and the senior mechanic Tony, their head Bliss Mathew or even the head of POPULAR BAJAJ Mr.Vaidyanathan who promised us that we give them a last chance after having given the new bike for more than 4 times for repair within 3 months of purchase. EVEN AFTER THE LAST CHANCE THE BIKE IS STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AND HAS BECOME EVEN WORSER IN TERMS OF FUEL CONSUMPTION AND STILL ARUPTLY STOPS AT THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC AND MAIN ROADS AND WHEN U WANT TO DESPERATELY CROSS THE SIGNAL.


The personel at POPULAR who are unmindful of our complaints and irresponsible to give a return call when we ask them for explanations for this kind of serivce/product, are prompt to call and ask for one more chance when we send emails escalating this issue to the bajaj people. is this the attitude customers expect from them?


*ARE THE POPULAR BAJAJ PEOPLE GOING TO TAKE ANY ACTION? OR THEY JUST WILL CONTINUE SELLING SUCH DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS AND KEEP PROVIDING WORST SERVICE?


CAN ANYONE FROM POPULAR / BAJAJ REPLY? DO THEY HAVE A SOLUTION OR ARE THEY MANUFACTURING DEFECTIVE BIKES AND JUST WANT TO GET RID OF THEM BY SELLING TO CUSTOMERS LIKE US? Do reply to tweety46@rediffmail.com IF YOU HAVE ANY ANSWERS.
