Based on the high recommendations from popular Auto magazines and declaring Wave as their choice against Honda Activa, I bought a new Wave for my wife on our 10th wedding day.
No doubt the vehicle has good looks and great power. We rarely use it and on an average around 5 Km per day kind. After couple of months the vehicle started giving too many problems.... I am in Bangalore and the vehicle has starting problem without choke you cant start and this happens even after driving for more than 1KM. You need to keep the choke very often to keep the vehicle running and this affects the milage very badly.
Then came the CVT problem (automatic gear mechanism) when ever you start moving, it gives a loud metal scratching sound the above 2 problems I mentoned to the service guys on my 1st and 2nd service too. But still no progress. After the 3rd time I went for the same problem, the mechanic says there is a design problem and this sound will come. In spite of my busy schedule, I get only the week end to spend with family and the half of saturaday goes in the workshop itself add to it the auto charge for going and coming every month.
I would strongly discourage any one from buying this. The additional 5K you spend on the Honda Activa is worth it.
