I bought this bike last June 2007 after reading reviews from different sites including mouthshut.com. I was really amazed by the comments so I really considered buying one. Its just getting its popularity here
since it was just marketed recently here in the Philippines.
My choices were a Honda XRM (which is very famous here), Suzuki Raider 110 and 150 and Wind 125. Ive chosen Wind for the following reasons.
Its high road clearance makes it suitable w/ any road and weather conditions (floods, rough road etc.
List item
Manual clutch.
It has a tachometer, trip meter, fuel meter and has a great controls, switches and panel.
Cheaper compared w/ my other choices.
Great looks (although most buyers use them as tricycles here)
Powerful engine, bright headlight and sporty tail and signal lights.
5-speed and, lastly
Id say 50% is because of reading this site.
Ive been driving this bike for roughly 2 months now and here are my comments. Lets start w/ the strenghts first. Wind 125 is very stable even running on high speeds. Ive tried pumping the gas up to a 100 kph
and it run smoothly and swiftly which is really great for a biker to lessen the driving tension. It has a very good acceleration and theres no question w/ its speed.
I like how the bike is designed. I may be biass since I own one but the bike really rocks! Great sporty looks and just enough muscles w/ the bulks and curves in the exact location plus, great tires are included. Now lets go to the downside of this bike.. low mileage.. I can only reach 40 kmpl. I just hope that theres a
remedy for this but in general, Id say Im very satisfied w/ it.
Im planning to change my sprocket settings to maximize fuel efficiency. I am confident that itll work at least lessen my fuel consumption. Well to wrap things up, Id say that this bike is awesome! Looks, Speed,
Stability and Quality? Wind has it all.
Id recommend this bike to everyone whos looking for a decent, performance bike. Nice riding
everyone! Thanks for reading! Good day and God bless us all!
