Here I am writing my second review on Mouthshut. So lets just go with the review.
*Me as a Rider!
*XCD is my first bike, n also my first love.First love in the context that, I just saw it in the showroom, n fell in love with it. Before this I knew how to ride a scooter (LML , Eterno ) but didnt knew how to ride a bike. You can call me a newbie. Just imagine, Me riding the bike from the showroom to my place, in the evening, driving 65 kms, without a scratch on my love, considering that I didnt knew to ride it.
*My Quest
*I am a person, who doesnt like to ride at high speeds, I like Manovering (thats all u can do in Delhis traffic), I preffered a bike that gives me over the edge milage, coz I am too effective in thinking!.
TVS Star City, Star Sport, Honda Shine! these were the bikes on my list....
But then I saw this beauty in the showroom, n as I said I fell in love with it. Why did I fell in love with is suddenly?? well ul get the answer by reading further!!
*Pehli Nazar (First Impression)
*Stunning design, Digital Speedometer Console, 109 kmpl ( oops!! thats a lie!). Yeah, 109 kmpl is a dream nobody can achieve, its just a marketing tactic!
125 cc, power of a 125 cc bike n milage of a 100 cc, what a combination. I guess thats what Bajaj wanted to target. All this n more **priced at Rs.45000/- (On road). Exellent Buy! For me atleast!
Fuel Consumption ( 8 out of 10)
*I dont get 109 kmpl (Im still wishing!!), but yes I am getting a Economy of 75 + kmpl, on delhi roads. This is a result of exellent care, gentle handling, and non-harsh driving. (Its my love after all!)
I do frequent oil changes (at every service), I use normal petrol.
Looks ( 11 out of 10 !!)
Exellent bike, crafted by bajaj. People still stare at my bike with amazement. On the first day, while I was taking my bike to home, 4 People asked me about the bike n said "Nice Bike". Oh yeah! I forgot to mention, I had to book my bike for 2 months, it was heavy demand for this bike. So you better know why Bajaj Sold 1 lakh bikes in 3 months!
*Performance (8 out of 10)
*I have experienced some problems with the performance though. The Fuel Economy is not static, it keeps fluctuating. It dropped at 35 kmpl for me once. But its all a part of the package I guess. I have read many reviews about XCD, people are unhappy about their bikes performance, but I must say, not all bikes have faults!!
*Negetives:-
*There are some negetives too with the bike, id like to share with you.
The engine sound, its toooo loud. The situation worsens when its heated up.
The digital display, sometimes it totally goes blank, but then returns to normal.
The rear wheel, always is wobbling ( bajaj shud have install broader tires)
The fuel tap is faulty, even if the tank is full itll show reserve, I think thats a unique issue.
The bike is tooo small, people say it as "Choti Pulsar!!" (Small Pulsar)
I just hate Bajaj Costomer support, they just dont co-operate, Mr. Rajiv bajaj are u listening!!
Advice, from the Wise!!
All in all I would recommend this bike for people who commute, not for poeple who Race!
The pick is average, so ul not feel like ur riding a pular, or a CBZ, its a different experience altogether. Its an absolute value for money, I wont get these many features for the price I payed.
