I have recently bought an XCD... it is giving me decent performance... I had splendour earlier... but I feel pickup is more and drive is also smooth even at higher gears and low speed.. rider comfort is also good... mileage I have not figured out yet but will fig out soon.
shock absorbers r OK ... pillion ride is also not a problem... pickup is decent even with a pillion. After sales service I can’t comment as I havn’t got that done yet. the IP is good as everything is digital and yes there is a neutral indicator n blinker indicator(other than what was mentined in one of the reviews)
Over all it is a gr8 bike if u want for daily use and need some power also and self-start is a big plus!!!
I was basically looking for a bike with electric start and a good mileage and a bit of power n comfort to drive... on those parametrs I feel it is ok...
Update 1 : My best estimate of mileage now is 65-70 kmpl .... I feel it will increase after 1 st servicing... I will again update a more accurate mileage figure after 10-15 days...
I am very happy with this bike... self-start is very good... even in morning it starts in a fraction of a second... can self start in any gear .. so in busy traffic also if u stop u can start in middle..
Pickup is very good and I have never felt lack of power while driving it.. on road cost was 47k(incl. everything) ... riding comfort is good.
Update 2 : on 2 litres of petrol above reserve it has already run 125 km and is still running... may take few more days to run out of petro(my daily running is 20km)l!!! so milegae is definitely going to be 65+ ... will report the exact figure in a couple of days when it again comes to reserve..
What I like most about this bike is the power and low speed high gear handling... even in 4th gear u can speed at 20km/hr and u can stop and start from 3rd gear itself... rarely is there a need to use 1st or 2nd gear... electric start is too good... it alawys starts in a fraction of a second.. pickup is also very good.. only some one on a 150cc or more bike can overtake u..
Update 3: The mileage I got was 69. This was considering that I was not riding it as it should be for maximum mileage!!!(there r lot of traffic problems when I go to my office which is in centre of city).and ya it is true that at very high speed the bike lacks proper control though I don’t go as high as I would if the bike were not new.
Update 4: The gasket of the cylinder head has stated leaking in just 350 kms... wonder what quality of material they r using.. anyhow tomorrow I will take it to the authorised service centreand see what they say. anyone has any idea about this problem?
