I am Nitin from Pune and have brought a XCD 125 5 months back 3500 km. Update at 3500 Km : After much of nagging and frustrating visits to the Bajaj service the bike is in a perfect rideable condition. Forget the mileage cos it wont improve above 55 kmpl.
Stalls in traffic at times and is unpredictable. Got tyres replaced at extra cost of 200 Rs and now the drive doesnt feel so risky as like the zappers.
If you have the patience to get iissues sorted after landiing up with a defective bike go for it its an excellent bike at that price. Spares are not reliable my self start electronics conked at the service station.
Autochoke is excelent feature but consumes lot of petrol unnessacary My review at 1900 km
On the most crucial point Mileage It disappointing. Its a gas guzzler without much Power does not feel like a 125 cc.I am getting a mileage of 50 - 55 kmpl.
Trying to get it corrected in the service station has not helped .. The Service engineer is polite and Helping but has not delivered anything till now .
The Bajaj Quality sucks sometimes feel how long can we say be Indian buy Indian.
Fuelcock screws were loose and also the Carbeuretter engine connector inlet screws.
There is a knocking kind of sound while the vehicle is on the run.Gear goes into false Neutral any time during a gear change making it a risky bike at high speeds.
The rear tyre is so slippery brake a bit hard and you are doomed.
Almost had a fall 2-3 times its very unstable..
Forget the Fuel Indicator its better not looking at it as its always fluctualting 3 bars here and there never can judge the fuel quantity.
Bajaj should stop fooling customers and rely on providing quality like the Japanese
Drive this bike at 50 and its really smooth feels like a electric motor. Selfstart is excellent. Looks and otherwise its good but this vehicle is not wisely designed. Drive too is comfortable.
After driving my friends bikes I can say its way better in many aspects than the present day Passion / Spendour or older Bajaj bikes .
I still swear by my sisters 10 year old HeroHonda Street an excellent power bike and my old Bajaj M80 an excellent city bike.
I feel I should have gone for a TVS Flame / Pulsar.
Well this is my first impression I will give a detail review after my first service.
