As I was turning 18, I wanted a bike. My dad didnt want to get me a pulsar or other bikes with disc breaks as they are accident prone if not used correctly. So I bought Xcd.
To tell you about this bike, after I bought this I didnt want to ride the first 2000 kms as there is the speed limit. So I let my dad drive the first 2000kms.
Pros:
The mileage is pretty decent, I get 65-75 km\l when I used premium petrol and 60-70 in normal petrol.
The best feature I liked in this bike is that it is very easy to drive with a simple gearbox. Also the riding comfort is awesome. You can ride long distances without discomfort and good suspension allows you to ride over speed breakers at decent speed. Also if you are going to maintain speed of 40-60, this is awesome bike. Digital speedometer is also awesome.
My advice would be to increase the idling a little bit as the bajaj people keep it very less. Otherwise the bike gives some stuck sound or even gets switched off. This sound annoys and gives u the feelin that the bike is not that powerful. People sitting behind also feel comfortable unlike the pulsar.
Cons:
If 2 persons are riding, the top speed sucks. And also you have to drive carefully while turning in traffic as u may lose balance if the person sitting in back is above 75kgs. Also the fuel meter sucks as it rarely shows correct reading. When you fill full tank, it still shows a point less and sometimes suddenly drops 3 or 4 points and comes shows only single litre is available. Complaining to the service people is useless as I have already told them thrice the same problem. Also the service is useless as you dont see great difference in the bike after service. Also drive above 70 for sometime and you get a burning smell from the engine.
In looks, the fuel tank lets u down as it is too small and doesny give u the muscular feeling. Also there is a jerk in low gears, so if u want to drive fuel consciously, then u may hav to suffer the jerk. Otherwise with more usage of clutch the transition is smooth.
Edited(new points added):
Service from bajaj hopeless. They dont even clean the spark plugs They just top up oil, clean it externally. Fuel meter is hopeless as it doesnt give correct indication as to when the fuel is over. The vehicle stops in the middle of the road. But mileage is really awesome now giving over 70km/l (now vehicle has run 8000kms). Always while starting in the morning please kick start.
Final verdict:
If you want a comfortable bike with decent mileage and to drive in city roads and feel comfortable while driving long distances, then this would be the best bike.
