I’ve purchased XCD 125 on 12th of October. Overall it is a very good bike. It is light in weight, rich in features like digital display, auto choke, folding number plate etc, but mileage is not very good. It is giving 60 kmpl in city although I am using SPEED. Also self start is not that efficient. In the morning you have to use the kick start. Also if you keep it idle for a long time you have to press the self start button 2-3 times to start it again. Also it does not have disk brakes. I live in Gurgaon and it costed me 45130 on road.
Otherwise it is a very good bike. May be after the first servicing the mileage will improve and these small issues will be taken care of. Also on 22nd October many newspapers have reported that there are some problems with self start and head lamp along with a part of noisy centre-stand. So small issues can be expected when a product is new. So once these issues are taken care of it will be a bike to go for.I would strongly suggest the bike for those who want to go for 100 cc bikes.
After 2nd service :
I was facing 2 problems before 2nd service. one faulty indicator, even though I had run for 150 kms it was showing tank as full & second is rear wheel was making some noise. After the servicing is done the 2nd problem was taken care of but the fuel indicator was still showing the tank as full.
I was furious as my problem was not taken care of. So when I asked the service guy he opened the fuel tank and showed me that the tank, I was shocked as the tank was still almost full. When I asked them to test the mileage which they do by charging Rs 25 only, it showed the mileage of- hold your breath 126 kms per litre. and they told that I was the 2nd customer whose bike is giving more than 100 kmpl. I was using normal petrol and riding within the city although I was riding mostly in 4th gear between the speed limit of 45-50 km/hr. For me as on today, its a super bike.
I am really very happy that I chose to buy bajaj XCD.
