I bought my Bajaj XCD 125 on early Jan 2008. I did not have any inclination nor desire to buy this vehicle when I was looking for a new bike. At that time time what I was looking for was a good mileage and reasonable pricing not just about the bike but also post purchase like servicing, spare part cost and so on.
I believe the pricing is very decent compared to other bike manufacturues like Hero Honda, Honda. Whereelse you would get a bike worth this standard for Rs 40K(Showroom).
Coming to the fuel standards, the first time I checked it gave me 65 KMPL in city limits of Hyderabad. Hope people know how the traffic of hyderabad sucks nowadays. I felt it to be a very good start giving 65 at the first check and now after second service I see it giving 75+ in city limits. I travel daily 40 Kms up and down to my office. Now people reading this will be better in judging if any other vehicle provide this average. I bet NOT.
Comfort aspects are excellent. I really do not feel the bumps when I am on the vehicle. The Shock absorbers are excellent and take care of the comfortable ride. I have taken the vehicle to max speed to 70 KM/Hr and did not feel any jerk while driving. I believe this speed in enough to judge it when you are drivning in the city. So handling and control are also good.
As far as looks are concerned I have seen many people looking at my vehicle and talking about it. Nothing to be said more.
When compared to other vehicle of this class Bajaj XCD is little lighter making it easier for people of my physique for eay parking.
Also during the free servicing I have noticed the importance given to the people possessing Bajaj XCD, the service person takes interest in knowing the problems and also sugest ways for effective maintenance.
All in all I am happy buying this vehicle and hope will continue to be
