Gr8 bike for City riding condition

I bought this Bajaj XCD 135 in Dec 2010 after lot of research and settled down with this bike since I had some specific requirements in mind.

  1. Good Mileage

  2. No sporty features (Like Pulsar or CBZ)..high power etc...

  3. Not expensive

  4. low maintenance

And finally I feel I have got all my requirements fulfilled with this bike. But i have something to say or need advice. It gives me mileage of 60+ in Mumbai traffic. Has good pick up and handling. It has got good looks but still not sporty so you can take elder people or ladies behind as pillion rider very comfortably since its pillion seat is not too high as in pulsar..I have bought it at a price of Rs. 52500. So quite reasonable price.

I have got my 3rd service done with few minor issues. But there is one issue which im facing and has remained unsolved. Recently one of my frd had reduced the engine idling RPM a bit and since then my bike is giving problem in pickup and mileage is dropped a bit. I got it set by Bajaj service guys and they recommended to set the idle RPM at 1500. But still when I ride it in top gear and then stops at signal or so, I can see the RPM drops to 1200 or sometimes at 1000. Therefore bike looses its pick-up. I’m sure once this problem solves, this would be the best bike for me or any city rider.

I request if someone can suggest me some remedy for this problem...??
