When Sanjay Leela Bhansali was heard coming up with yet another historical love melody story, it really sent a positive wave among we, the people of India. We really were expecting a movie which is going to put all of the love, history, hotness & sweet songs on a common platform. After all it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie was going to be directed by. But as the fate would have it, the movie turned out to be yet another drama, with more of off-historical context & less of on-screen chemistry.
Ranbeer Singh has done the job the best way possible, no doubt about that. But no one knows where exactly the Sanjay Leela Bhansali went wrong. Probably he should have dedicated equal time to the history classes & the direction classes.
He seemed to have went away with the movie at times. The movie gives a strong opening, but by the time the interval is going to come, you already would have spent the ticket price amount on coffee to keep you awake.
Though in the end the movie turns out to be a worth-watching.
From my end, Bajirao Mastani would have gone even well, if they would have casted Deepika Padukone in place of Priyanka Chopra & Priyanka Chopra in place of Deepika Padukone. To feel teh heat of the movie, Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself should have played a cameo in it:D
The bottom line would be: Go & watch Bajirao Mastani, if you don’t have a better option.
