I’m a regular viewer of this program from the day 1 when it started. The idea/concept of the program is purely on the social issues which still needs to be addressed at various parts of our country.
Few days back only I was reading a news paper where there was a story how parents living in metropolitan cities are going to Gujarat to change the sex of their girl child to boy and paying lakhs to change the hormones. The story was equally disturbing and I suggest if following the regular story line balika vadhu can also somewhere fit in such kind of subjects.
The characters are really impressive in the show and somehow really connects to the real life stories of people.
There’s a double message comes out from both sides of the newly married couple and family. Family is understood to be upset and is not accepting the new wedding or relation which is logical but the point of view of the newly married couple is also not wrong since there parents tied the knot in their childhood and unknowingly they were in strange wedding relation which was later on got disapproved.
The character of Gauri is fighting for her rights which is not wrong ideally since the mistake was done by Dadisa character and she had been suffering from mental torture of ruined childhood.
The character of Jagiya is also fighting with the phenomenon of child marriage and have chosen the person of his choice who coincidentally came out as his 2nd wife.
Only the character of Anandi is surrounded with the problems now since she couldn;t studied much, got married in her childhood and ditched by the husband and his family (kind of). The question which was raised by Gehna "if anandi was to sleep with another man would have the situation be same or different" was very appreciated.
what I would like to see now is neither anandi accepts jagiya nor gauri since morally he ditched his 1st wife, gave so much mental torture and did not offer divorce. And his parents has to pay the dues of bad marriege so that a valuable message goes.
