FTV : A Practical Overview

After reading all the reviews written about this channel I’ve come to realise what a cheap opinion people have about today’s youth.Somehow I get the feeling that 90% of the people who oppose this channel consider us to be some sort of sickos who derive pleasure from voyeuristic activities.Seriously, I’m shocked. But, before going into my own opinion, I would like to write extracts from other member reviews which I consider to be well thought of and excellently put forward.

The best review I read in this regard was by Farid.I certainly agree with Farid that ’Sex is certainly in the mind’.A person with that attitude sees through anything, clothes or no clothes whereas a person with no such intentions may not even see a naked body with wrong intentions. And for all the people who consider it as porn, let me tell you this, anyone interested in porn have enough avenues right from the internet to sleazy VCD rental shops, why only Ftv?If they want to ban Ftv, then it is only right that they ban all these mediums.

Preethi ( pree_16 ) wrote a review in regard that India was not developed enough for Ftv.Now, what has development got to do with it?.If she means that people are not advanced enough to appreciate it in a proper manner, thats not really correct. Each person has his own way of analysing things and every one of them have  their own unique way of judging it.It is not upto one person to condemn other ways of looking at it.The basic idea is that its being appreciated.’Cheap entertainment’, okay, maybe in one regard. But, then again, its entertainment and thats the most important thing.

Lora made a marvellous comparison. In India, we claim pride on Kama Sutra and ban Ftv!Talk about irony.I must definitely agree with Lora there.

Zanche was very frank. It is up to each person to make his own decisions, why do others try to do it for him.A person wants to watch Ftv, let him watch, its his life.Gotta agree that there’s a logic to it.

Finally, as far as my own opinion goes I cant figure out why Ftv is indirectly connected to sex.In regard of fashion, I must agree that not many people who watch fTV do so cause they are into fashion.Agreed.But, why think of them in such low regard.Isn’t it only natural that however mature and moral people are, that they always appreciate beauty.See, half the girls of India go ga-ga over Hrithik, so why cant people go ga-ga over these models. Why is it that viewing Ftv is termed ’Cheap entertainment’ whereas Hrithik’s movie is called ’classy affair’ when they both serve the same purpose.Dont tell me its cause of nudity, cause Hrithik always exposing his biceps and chest etc is also nudity. So, I think I can bravely call each of those Hrithik fans also cheap and vulgar. So much for their protests.Indian people have definitely got to learn to have a healthier attitude towards other cultures. If they cant stand it, let them at least not condemn it.And finally, let me assure you one thing, irrespective of what people think, most teenagers watch Ftv only as time-pass when nothing else is coming on TV and not in the sleazy way that you ’honourable’ people think.
