I am a tiger...i am a tiger

The trip to Bandhavgarh was one of my most memorable trips. We made the trip in the month of March.

My second visit to a national park and guess what...we had a rendezvous

with none other than yes...the CAT. In fact the CATS.

We were a bit disappointed on our first day there...cause we could not spot the tiger but we did spot other animals. Mostly Deers and Sambars. Lots of birds too. Avid bird watchers are advised to carry binoculars. There is an amazing variety of birds out there.

The tigers were spotted on the 2nd day but they were not on our usual route.

Elephants were sent out to spot the tigers and when they were spotted we took the elephant ride in order to spot the cats. We had to go deep inside the jungle. We went off the beaten track. The anticipation was killing us. I kept feeling that what if the tigers have moved to another place etc etc...& then within a short time we saw him. The most handsome creature in the world! Seeing a tiger in its natural surroundings is really something. I had to keep pinching myself to believe that I was actually seeing a tiger from such close quarters. And then when our elephant started making it’s way back...the tiger was joined by another one. What a bonus that was!
