Plan : Be at Bandipur for the sunrise...
Methodology : Improvisation on travel...
As I logged on to my system - WOWo a pop-up saying "to-night busy with a drive to Bandipur -no other appointments please"...
Back from office @ 7.00pm...getting fresh...took some time calling juggling with guys who were contemplating on the trip...finally things settle down and just 2 of us decide to hit the roads...not a wink of sleep...
Time - 11.30pm
Day - Friday
The car starts and we hit the mysore road...again...drive pretty comfortable and also the light drizzle all along kept the weather pleasant and tireless...
Many pit stops followed for "chai" & "soota".
Half way to Mysore you find "Cafe Coffee Day" a place you know where they loot you( a Litche fresh drink costs Rs60) and still you end up stopping...a neat stretch of legs and some cookies and back on the road again...
Time-3.30 am- reach mysore...the place of our almamater...
We take a stop @ the famous Mysore Palace Entrance and marvel the lighting and the grandeaur of the structure...It just slipped out of my mouth...The freaking kings must have had a ball of a time...Well I guess they did...
3.50am we head towards "Bandipur"
Target - Reach Bandipur Forest for the Sunrise!!!
Reached bandipur and drove into an off-shoot of the forest ( well I guess that was illegal, but who the hell cared)...Deers, Deers everyhere...wow the spotted beauties stole our hearts... then came the sun in all its glory, also was assisted with a light drizzle.
We then drove slowly amongst the lush green forests hearing to the beautiful chiring sound of birds. We reached Mudumalai...the TamilNadu portion of the forest, had a coffee and I must mention the fooling around we had with a couple of monkeys...well we had a combat...and the asses won....
Grumbling at the defeat, ...and njoying the feat...we drove back to bandipur....
Time...8.00am
Destination: Jungle Lodge
A pretty decent breakfast at the jungle lodges...remember we were sleepless for almost 24 hrs now...
So naturally after the food we were just unable to move our asses...both of us almost praying aloud for a bedding...
Abracadabra...Abracadabra...there was our legendry hammocks ( the real saviour of the time)...so I just carried a pint and fell back and off we went snoring to glory.....
Time - 11.30am
Destination - sorry dont know ( only direction known)...
With no particular place to reach we started back towards mysore... and some refreshing tender coconuts...
Time-1.00pm
Destination - Nanjangud temple
We stopped by the temple river banks and did some crafty fishing...wow man the exitement is unbelievable...
Time : 2.30pm
Fish Land restaurant....had a spicy fish curry and a mug of beer...
Time : 3.30pm
Destination: RaBird Sanctuary
Heard the birds flocking around the bushes. Seems that this is one heck of a touist place for birds...lol...
We got to see a few them stretching their wings...A boat ride would have been ideal but we dint opt for it though...
Time : 4.00 pm..
Destination: "Sweet Home Bengaluru"
Vrooooooooooooooooooooooom...speeding towards b’lore........is the bed ready for a dive??????????
