This was a gift by one of my friends to me. I remember admiring Satyajit Rays works and so this book.
The Story: The story revolves around three main characters Feluda, Topshe and Jatayu. Jatayu is a writer and one of his latest books is to be turned into a movie named Jet Bahadoor. So all three of them turn up for the filming process. While in the midst of filming, a man is murdered in the elevator of the very same building where the producer of the movie lives. The cops and detectives start searching for clues. It is here that Feluda, Topshe and Jatayu are seen as one of the main people who executed the murder. How the three clear their name of the murder, or is it one of them the murderer, is all the main twist in the story. The climax is excellent!
My Experience:
Loved every bit of the story. Beginning part of the story is tad bit boring, but soon the story catches up and becomes and interesting read. I love the action scenes that are beautifully and esthetically elaborated! The final train scene is the best! The story gives you the feel of almost being a detective and solving the murder mystery. It does give you clues all along. I love how nicely the characters are etched that make the reader imagine them easily.
The language us easy and the fliw of story is good. With a bit of drag in the beginning the story catches up quick to be an interesting read.
Last Word: If you love crime novels, this is it! Totally Recommending!
