Located just above the Pizza Hut in HSR Lay-out, ’Bangaliana’ is a simple, 15-20 seater restaurant. Very rudimental set up with red plastic chairs, a pink colored ceiling, old table fans which were wall-mounted, and withal a Hall of Fame board with some news-paper cuttings. Nothing much genuinely to mention in terms of efforts made to beautify the place.
The best of all was the Bhetki Paturi, the exhibition-stopper, indeed! Super soft fillet of fish cooked / steamed in a spicy mustard sauce. And the best part - its wrapped in a Banana leaf. Perfect taste & worth all the effort.Overall, not lamentable, it’s good bengali victuals, delectable fish items and mouth-watering sweets. Though the pabulum was yummy, it is much costly. They have had some special repast packages, specially for Ashtami.hence such a costly price.
