Good Overall Experience

First of all I would like to say that when I wrote this review, I looked at some of the top MBA/PGDM granting institutions in India and how they were recommended(what percentage). Let me remind you that at the same time BMA had 46% recommendations, so you can make comparisons. Moreover these institutions listed below are some of the best places to get an MBA(I did not include IIM’s because everyone knows they are the best), and even they have people who have complaints about their MBA programs. This should tell you that there will be people who will always have some complaints and you can never satisfy all the demands of each student.

Symbiosis 77%

NMIMS 57%

SP Jain 67

XLRI 100% (5 reviews total)

OK, now that I have given you some information about other colleges that you can compare BMA with, I will list the positives and negatives of BMA and will let you decide for yourself if BMA is a good college or not.

Positives:

  • You can get an MBA degree in only 16 Months including an internship of 4 months.

  • Faculty teaching courses either have an earned Phd or have industry experience

  • Infrastructure is excellent and can be compared to the best colleges in India.

  • 4.5 Lacs tuition fees for Australian Edith Cowan University MBA(BMA also offers MBA programs from other universities such as Bhartidasan University and Pondichery University+ Retailers Association of India, whose tuition fees are around 2.5 to 3 lacs)

  • Hostel fees are Rs.4, 000 per month(boys hostel) which includes unlimited wi-fi internet, security, pick up and drop from the hostel to BMA campus(which is about 15 mins by walk). Hostel is not a typical hostel, but a 1000 sq.ft 2 bedroom flats building. Each bedroom is shared by 2 students and total 4 students per flat. It includes 2 bathrooms+living room and 2 balcony. The same facilities are for girls hostel also.

  • Student and faculty ratio is very low. Which results in high interaction with the faculty members.

  • Located in Bangalore

Now the Negatives:

  • Australian Edith Cowan University MBA is not recognized by UGC/AICTE, so if you are looking to get a government after MBA based on your MBA degree you will not qualify. But enroll MBA program offered by Bhartidasan University or Pondichery University+Retailers Association of India RAI at BMA you degree will be recognized by UGC.

  • BMA has an open admission policy, meaning everyone who has a Bachelors degree will get admission to BMA. This means there is no admissions test like SNAP, NMAT, CAT required by BMA for admission. So the quality of students who enroll at BMA is not the same as students at colleges like NMIMS, Symbiosis etc. Many students who enroll in BMA have studied in the regional languages till high school, who do not have the required written or oral communication skills to successfully perform in a job interview and hence they might not get a stellar placement, obviously there are always exceptions .(Usually these are the students who most likely will not get job offers in the campus placements, then complain about BMA, that they did not get a job etc)

  • Lastly because of the quality of students that BMA intakes, the job placements of these students are not very noteworthy. But you should note that if you are a good student and have good soft skills, chances are that you will receive a good job offer. Also since BMA was started only a few years ago, many employers are not aware of BMA, resulting in few companies for campus interviews.

BMA has given me a chance to get an MBA degree in 16 months as compared to 2 years in most colleges, which means I can save 8 months, enter the job market faster and also do an internship of 4 months to get industry experience. So if you want an International MBA at a reasonably low price(as compared to 10 lacs in many colleges), I would recommend BMA to you.

Hope this review helps you make a decision. But still I would recommend you to visit not just BMA but any college you aspire to do an MBA before enrolling in it, as this is a major decision in your life.

Regards,

Kandarp.
